On July 24th, Southland employees gathered at Bowness Park for the 3rd Annual Picnic in the Park, bringing together approximately 175-200 attendees for a day of summer fun. The weather was hot and sunny, perfect for enjoying the shade of the trees by the river.
The day was filled with activities and games, including jumbo Connect 4, axe throwing, and bean bag toss. Crafting stations offered opportunities for creativity, with guests coloring and assembling their own kites and making suncatchers to take home. Our talented face painters were busy all day, delighting both children and adults with their fantastic designs.
Food was plentiful, featuring classic picnic fare such as hot dogs, burgers, chips, and salads. To help everyone beat the heat, we also provided special treats like ice cream sundaes, freezies, and cotton candy.
